As You Wish

Paper Craft Planet had a really fun challenge today! It was to make a card based on the Movie the Princess Bride. They also combined it with the sketch of the week. The sentiment says As You Wish.

Love

This little digital stamp is from CC Designs at All That Scraps. He is super cute! I think I may over use that phrase! I made the background paper with Photoshop and printed out the joined hearts from there as well. Stickers are all by Sandylion. Glitter is provided by Stickles. Have a great evening everyone!

Mmmmmm

Sorry for scan... my husband has commandered my camera. I will try to update this picture later so you can see the glitter on the MME paper. Doesn't she look so blissful and relaxed? Makes me wish I had a big purple chair and a latte. :)

Paint it Black

This challenge rocked! I made a card in like 10 minutes and it's cute! (if I say so myself...LOL)
I love it when inspiration comes a knockin...
Sorry for the extreme closeup, but I was trying to show the shimmerz in the background around the angel.
Paper: DCVW
Stamp: Groovy Angel - Faerie Song Arts Stamps
Embellishments: Prima Clearly IOD tape, rhinestones, Kaizer pearls, ribbon and shimmerz

Rainy day Willow

This card was made for the I heart 2 stamp sketch. The second image is a close up so you can see the puddle of water at her feet and the shimmerz in the rain. The banner is a new technique I picked up from the blog Scrap Bitz; you stamp your image on a piece of paper and then make two score lines on either side of the sentiment, which lets you pop up the banner. Pretty cute and super simple!
Paper: DCVW
Embellishments: Bazzil Ribbon, Kaizer Pearls
Tools: Copics, Liquid Glass, Shimmerz

A day at the beach!

Watching Waves

My husband and I are at the beach today! Thank You Priceline! I love naming your own price - it's the best.
This is the view from our room. Peaceful - we need a little peace. This seems to be working. I tried to talk a little about my husband a few posts ago, but couldn't. The easiest thing to say is that we need to appreciate every moment we have with each other, because we really don't know how many more we will have. I am praying that there will be so many more that I couldn't possible count them! And there very well may be. We are staying positive and hopeful. Steve has a wonderful attitude and manages to be very optimistic. So today we will Praise God and enjoy the gift of time.

Moments

Have you ever experienced a moment in time that you know will stay with you forever? A moment in time that divides time into before the moment and after the moment? I experienced one of the those moments today. I write this trying not to cry yet again, because I need to be strong... but it is so hard. Life has thrown us yet another curveball and I need to find my strength to face it. You can read more details about this crazyness on my husband's blog.

It's Monday

Again. Stumbling out the door at 6:30 and back in it again at 5:30. 10 Hour Days. Yuck.

Now I am lazily pursuing blogs and not really getting much of anything done. The lazy part started yesterday when I watched 1/2 of the 1st season of Desperate Housewives. How I have managed to never see an episode of this until two weeks ago is beyond me. Of course once I saw one episode I trucked it down to my local video store and rented Season One. I tell you it sucked me in! Hopefully I will be back with full force tomorrow! Have a great evening!

Anya, Anya, Anya

The Greeting Farm has these super darling stamps called Anya's. I love them! I'm not exaggerating. The best part about them, is that you can buy digital stamps of some of the designs. They are only $3.00 each and then ... boom instant gratification! I printed these Anya's off on my HP printer, heat set the ink and colored them in with my Copics. No smearing at all. :)

Together

My card today was made for the weekly sketch challenge on Split Coast Stampers. I used Scenic Route paper, CTMH cardstock, ribbon, ink and stamps, stickles and a heart from Making Memories. This card is special, because it allows me to say how I feel by creating. Yesterday was kind of a rough day for my husband and I. We spent most of it in the emergency room. Steve (my husband) has a fairly rare disease called sarcoidosis that effects him in various ways. He started acting very odd yesterday morning and that's how we ended up in the emergency room. After an MRI and a spinal tap, the doctor told Steve that he probably just had an atypical migrane. I'm not a doctor, but the symptoms he had didn't seem like any migrane I ever heard about. Steve does have an appointment with a neurologist tomorrow, so we will see how that goes! Please pray for Stevie. Thank you.

Delightful little deer

I love cute stamps - can you tell? This little deer, bird and sentiment were in a cute little bag of stamps from Unity that had been sitting around neglected in a box until yesterday. I conducted a mini inventory of all the STUFF I have yesterday - boy was I suprised by how neat some of it was! Of course some of it isn't so neat, but we won't think about that! Let go Brandi - this stuff will never come back into style!!! Anyway about the card... paper is Heidi Grace, ribbon CTMH, dewdrops, and my awesome Inkssentials white pen for the stiches. This card isn't my normal style, but it sure has a lot of cute stuff on it! The card is based on the sketch from I Heart 2 Stamp. Click on the sketch above to go to Jen's site.

Home is where...

your story begins. I have been meaning to use these stamps from Unity, but hadn't figured out what I wanted to do with them. The house is so cute and the sentiment is lovely too. Paper is old CTMH, ribbon from May Arts, copics and stickles. Well tomorrow is back to work for me, so I might not be around quite so much! See you soon...

Sending You My Love

Isn't she the cutest, working so hard on her valentine card. This stamp reminds me of making valentine cards for everyone I could think of when I was little. Picture construction paper, glitter and a lot of glue!
You can find Sending Your Love at Paper Pretties. I cut a rough heart card shape out of cardstock and built from there. Thanks for visiting!

What Scrapbook Item are You?

I added a cute little quiz to my sidebar - apparently I am......
Your Result
You are PAPER!You are an all natural basic person who likes to act as a foundation to others. You are willing to take a backseat in most of your relationships and let others take the spotlight, while you show your support and help them shine! Underneath it all, you are the one who makes it all happen. You are the focus and stability in any group, even if you are not the leader. Others look to you to set the pace and provide ideas for ways to get things done. But Paper Beware - sometimes you get a little edgy with the people who look to you for support and can give them some papercut remarks that can hurt their feelings. Remember to watch what you say, because you are best when leading by example.

Take the quiz and let me know what you are!!!!

More Faeries...

Two more cards using the wonderful Faerie Song Art Stamps from Susana's store. I also used some of the new Heidi Grace paper, stickles, lacey ribbon, glitter, prima flowers and a painted chipboard swirl. Plus my nestablilites, copic markers and sizzix paper. It's a creative day for me! Yea!

Believe in Yourself

One more card for tonight... using fairy stamps again.... aaaaaahhhhhhhh
I seriously can't help myself! Seriously!!
This was made for the SCS Limited Supplies Challenge.
Three colors - that's almost impossible!

Luna Star

Okay I admit it. I am slightly obsessed with these stamps. You can find them here. Stamps and fairys how could one possibly resist this combination? This card was made for the sketch challenge at Paper Craft Planet.
