Dustin Pike ~ You Are The Man!!

So there is this guy out there in blogland who goes by the name of Dustin Pike. He is an extremely talented artist who draws extremely whimsical characters with wonderful personalities. Dustin is a little bit different than most other digi artists out in blogland... why? Well because he gives away his wonderful, whimiscal Dragons for FREE!!! Yep, free. It doesn't get any better than that! So make sure you head on over to his blog and leave him some love.... and make sure to pick up a free dragon or two while you are there!

Fairy Home Decor

Fairies are a bit of an obsession with me, so I wanted to make something that I could hang in my home to display some quotes about faires. This is what I came up with! The frames are by Kaiser Craft and the paper is all from Prima. The fairies should look familiar ~ they are all by Victoria Case and I have used all of them before! I can't seem to stop reaching for my fairies! Dream, Imagine, and Believe are written with Stickles. You can click on the pictures to make them bigger and get more detail. Have a Happy Monday!

Call Me!!

Another card with the awesome Best Creations swirly sparkle paper! Love it! The little fairy is from Victoria Case ~ isn't she super cute? Hope you are all having a terrific Sunday. I slept in till 9:30 which is a major accomplishment for me. Normally the internal alarm goes off between 5:00 and 6:30 whether I want it to or not! Sunday plans are to finish a super cute project I am working on and putter around a little outside. Happy Sunday everyone!

Happy Spring ~ Young Catherine

Isn't Young Catherine sweet ~ she is from the Anki's Sweethearts line of stamps exclusive to Susana's store. This card was fairly simple to make.. the image is single matted on top of this wonderful glittery swirly paper from Best Creations. I just didn't have the heart to cover very much of it up! I did add a couple of felt flowers and some bling! Hope you have a Happy Saturday!

Bunny Basket

Okay ~ this is the cutest little bunny I have ever seen... he is adorable!! When I saw the pattern for the basket ~ designed and shared by the awesome Claire Brennan ~ I knew I had to make an Easter Basket! So here it is in all it's glory! LOLA closeup so you can see the glitter detail on Easter Wabbit. If you like him act fast! Victoria is retiring him 04/11/09.

And another closeup ~ my husband made a spring out of paper so the bunny "pop's off" the basket! Love it.... and him!

In other super duper awesome news.... I am going to be a Friday Featured Stamper on Paper Makeup Stamps!! I am so super excited about this.... stay tuned for more info as April 3 draws closer... I'm thinking......BLOG CANDY!

I haven't disappeared for ever....

Hi everyone! I just wanted to give you a quick update... the ever returning (not quite going away) flu bug is pestering me lately. I do have a couple of projects I need to post, but my camera and I weren't seeing eye to eye and now the battery needs charged!! Not to worry ~ I should have at least one post tonight! Happy Friday!

Dreamy Angel .........

First of all I want you to know I had a very difficult time photographing this card and it still doesn't look quite like it does in real life. For example the layers that are orange with red swirls sparkle beautifully ... oh well. You can't hit the ball out of the photography ballpark everytime! The super duper shimmer is from Smooch paints ~ they are very, very fun to play with. I love this angel... she was drawn by Victoria Case. The image is so inspiring to the imagination. Maybe she is a guardian angel who is tired out from watching over her special charge, so she paused to take a nap on the moon... or perhaps she is a wild and crazy angel who did a little too much site seeing and had to take a nap on the moon. Same ending ~ different story! Hope your day was happy!

Sketch Contest!

Susana's Custom Art and Card Design has a group on Paper Craft Planet. This month there is a contest to win a stamp of your choice from her store. The stipulation is at you make a card based on the sketch and inspiration picture posted on the group's page. This is my entry. The mermaid is floating in a pool of December Sky shimmers and Cloud Nine raindrops. I think the ocean/shell trim came from Michaels. Hope everyone had a great weekend! :)

Faerie Song Art Stamps Sketch 7

This card was made based on the sketch for the Faerie Song Art Stamps Group on PCP. They have a weekly sketch challenge for entry into a monthly drawing for a free faerie stamp from Susana's Custom Card and Art Design. We would love it if you would like to join us! I don't know how many of you have ever shopped at Susana's store, but she always sends a little thank you gift with your order ~ I love that about her! Anyway two of the thank you gifts she has given me are the little geo sparklers and the super cute glittery heart. The geo sparklers are so very sparkle-lishish!! The Smooch paints rock too.. they are on her wings and purple part of her shirt. They have this cool detail brush that makes it very easy to paint in the smallest of spaces!
The stamp (which is what got me addicted to Susana's store in the first place!) is a Faerie Song Art Stamp called Bryony. Hope everyone is having a happy Sunday !

More Cutie Pie Digi's from Victoria Case!!

This darling fairy is from Victoria Case. It is a digi stamp called Sharing Berries. I just love her drawing talents!! The little fairy is sooo cute and the ladybug.. that is just over the top! :)

Bubbly Fun is also a Victoria Case digi stamp... I think she could be adapted to so many different cards and sentiments. The closeup is to show you some of the dimension on the bubble. And the glitter of course! :)

Anki's Sweethearts

Today's card features Anki's Sweethearts from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD). I paired two of the stamps so it looked like the kids were hanging out waiting to go somewhere. The glitter needs to be taken away from me for a while, otherwise every card from now on is going to get a dose of glitter whether it needs it or not! I have these phases where I use one product either until I run out of it or until I notice the trend I am on! :)

The card originally started out to match the Wednesday sketch from Splitcoast stampers, but I couldn't stick within the parameters they wanted. One of the rules is that you must be able to see that the card you made is following the original sketch and my card card kinda had a mind of it's own... oh well. There is always next week. :)

Lavendar Lockhart Lilacs

Flower Soft is crazy stuff.... seriously. At first I thought it would be super easy to use. Then I made a huge mess. So I asked some friends for advice. After taking their advice to heart ~ ta da.... I really like this card and I really like Flower Soft and Lockhart Stamps both of which arrived at my house via Susana's store. Yea! I love shopping online! The ribbon frame around the card was the technique challenge Monday at Splitcoast. It is such a cool and simple way to add major pizazz to any card. There is glitter on the vase and in the flowers as well as on the sentiment and scallops. It just wasn't in a showoffy ( I think I just made up a word!) mood.

Ducky's Happy Day!

Happy Day! BeccaKay Designs has a cute new set of digi-stamps out called Just Ducky. My card features four of the seven stamps from the set. I had a lot of fun making this card - it is totally not my normal style. Hmmmm.... maybe I need to try more things that aren't "my style"? The rainbow, clouds, and puddle have lots of stickles on them. Sparkle Power! All my cards need that! :) Thanks for visiting me!

Luna Star... Lucky

I was putting away my fairys from the blog hop and came across Luna looking so sad and unused.... so I pulled her out and inked her up! This card is based on the sketch for you to try from iheart2stamp. Jen always has great sketches!

It was so much fun to color Luna ( she is from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design) I like to take it a little out of the box with my fairies ~ especially their hair color. Purple is awesome! Plus my Lilac Shimmerz was calling out to me! The night sky was colored with CTMH ink and a waterbrush and the stars were actually to cover up an error. You know what they say! There are no mistakes only opportunities for embellishment! Wishing you a happy Monday!!

PMS Blog Hop

I am so excited about today! They are having a party over at Paper Makeup Stamps ! It is going to be so much FUN! Here are the details!

In case you missed the news... we are having a PMS Party! There will be challenges, games, prizes, sneak peeks, digis (available for 1 day only!), sales... i'm tellin you, it's going to be a blast!Not to mention a FANTASTIC blog hop! There are 28 peeps signed up for the blog hop. How stinkin' fun is that?! 28 places to get some fun and fastastic ideas using PMS! Oh it makes my heart so happy!Now onto some of the party details because i've had a lot of questions!at 12 EST the blog hop will start. Of course it'll be up all day, but this gives everyone a chance to browse and leave some love before the party starts. There will be some preparty chatter going on over in the PCP forum Here's a breakdown of our party plans!just before the party starts at 3 EST (thats 2 CST, 1 mountain time, and 12 for west coasters!) I'll announce the winner of the blog banner giveaway.

3:00 - Then to kick off the party there will be some sneaks and some digis! Woot!

Birthday Pup

Another digi stamp by Victoria Case. I didn't get a very good picture of this card.. the lighting was fairly dark. It doesn't do the stamp justice. The card is just right for a boy's birthday and as there are lots of those coming up, it will be nice to have it in my card box! :)

Mermaid Anya

This little mermaid anya will be swimming over to my niece's birthday party on Saturday. The image was so much fun to color. I had a lot of fun with the shading on the tail and all of the stickles. How in the world did I ever get by before Stickles??? One of my cuttlebug embossing folders finally got some action too... I always forget to use them.... duh! Happy Friday everyone! :)

Butterfly's & Friendship

I wasn't really sure about using a quote as the main element of a card.... but..... I absolutely love it! It might have something to do with the tons of glitter and bling! The butterflies started out a white sparkle Doodlebug paper. Then the paper ran into some ink... isn't the effect cool? Watch out scrapbook store - you are about to have a run on Doodlebug paper! That was the last of it in my stash ~ talk about heart wrenching. Hope you like it!

Sprout

Paper Makeup Stamps is having a weekly Monday Challenge (but you get till Saturday to finish ~ yea!!) this time it was to use two bling type embellishments. This (of course!!) was not a difficult challenge for me! Bling, sparkle, shiney stuff... you never see those things around here! :)

My bling was brought to you by Stickles, Sizzix Texture Paper, and the shiney leaf beads. One thing that was extra cool was the stickles on the butterflies. The concept of stickles on metal had never occured to me ~ genius! Sometime it takes me a while! :O)
