Faraway Moon

I have so much to tell you about this card, but all the words keep getting jumbled in my head! The sketch it was based on is from CLP Sketch Challenge # 13. Chelsea has beautiful artwork on her blog and awesome sketch challenges too! The image is Faraway Moon by chingchou kuik for Sweet Pea Stamps. I love her Fantasy Art Collection ~ all of the stamps are gorgeous!

The shimmer on the image background is from the awesome metallic watercolors my friend Susanna gave me... they are amazing... if I can figure out the name of them I will post it later. The shimmer on the moon and star is from Smooch Moonlight paint and the decorative mat behind the image is painted with Creative Inspirations Tanzanite paint. All the sparkle came from SCACD. :)

Candy Cane Fairy Treat Box

This little Candy Cane Fairy from Victoria Case is adorning a tag box made to give truffles in. The truffles were a lot more difficult on to make than this little box. The main ingredient in the truffles (excluding chocolate of course) was patience.... something I don't have tons of! :)

Christmas Snow Fairy

Just a quick post before I head off to bed... the card above features Snow Fairy from the Sketching Stamper... I wanted to keep this card simple to reflect what I think the spirit of Christmas is... Love.

I am falling behind on my blog.... Christmas is catching up to me and as always I have more things that I want to do than I have time for. These pictures have been uploaded since early last week, but I forgot to make my posts... dur.... so I may have mulitiple projects posted tomorrow if I remember to get the posts done! :)

This card features another digi from Karen's Doodles... isn't she cute? Makes me wish for a little bit of snow to go out and play in. The main panel is embellished with handstiching and snowflakes made from a mixture of circut and spellbinders die cuts.

Snowman Treat Box

I just stumbled on Maria Bell's blog Stampin Inspirations the other day. She has tons of awesome tutorials ~ this project features the Treat Box Ensemble. She has awesome step by step directions and pictures.. Thank you Maria! :)

It's getting to where I just have scraps of my funky Bo Bunny Christmas paper... thankfully there was enough left for this project. I finally got to use one of my Paper Makeup Stamp sets again... Snow Happy. The snowmen are super cute and I love the sentiments.

The candies are Hershey's nuggets covered with random stamped labels. The bag topper is made with the Stampin Up Top Note die and the packet that says Warm Winter Wishes is holding a bag of instant cocoa.



These little gifts are really quite easy to make and would be wonderful to have on had for all the little unexpected gifts we all end up having to give! :)

Baby's First Snow

Here is another cute digi stamp from Karen's Doodles... Baby's First Taste of Snow. I am loving her stamps.. super cute, fun to color and simple but detailed. This card was my attempt clean and simple card making... as you can see it didn't exactly work out. :)

I based my card on the sketch on the left from I heart 2 stamp. All papers are from My Mind's Eye and the coloring was done with Copics.

Have a beautiful day! I am planning on taking some pictures because we had a snowfall last night... and tonight it is off to see a Christmas program... hopefully this will improve my holiday outlook! :)

My card features Moose with Lights cause most of us know there is someone in my family with a slight moose addiction! :) The image was fun to color.. the bulbs and the bow have liquid glass on them but it isn't showing up very well in the photo.

Nora is another adorable Swiss Pixie from All That Scraps. She is paired with their Winter Tree and Amy R's Winter Sentiments. The papers are all from K& Co exluding the cardstock. The snow was made with liquid pearls and smooch paint. I also added some liquid pearls and glitter to the snow flake buttons. All That Scraps weekly challenge is to use snowflakes... that wasn't difficult... lots of Christmas cards to be made! :) Wishing you a wonderful mid-winter day... Smiles ~ Brandi

Warm Whimsie Wed. Wishes

So what's your favorite thing about Whimsie Doodles digi stamps? My favorite thing is that they are so whimsical and cute... easy to color and embellish. Okay so that might have been more than one thing... oops...

Holly ... the Christmas Fairy

I would like to introduce you to Holly if you haven't already met... Holly is a Christmas fairy... a very rare fairy indeed. She needs you to believe in the magic of Christmas....

Holly is a digital drawing from Mo of Mo's Digital Pencil. She has been sitting colored on my desk for many moons now waiting for the right sketch, the right paper, and the right sentiment to come along. This weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers fit the bill perfectly as did the wonderful holiday papers from K&Co and the fabulous digi sentiments from Whimsy Doodles. She was also made for the Mo's Digital Pencil challenge - traditional Christmas colors and the card must be for someone special... The color inspiration also fit perfectly with the Hope Stamps Enternal's Cupcake Challenge... so much fun! :)

Mojo & Serendipity = Happiness! :)

It seems Serendipitous that Serendipity Stamps got my Mojo flowing... I'm a dork I know! Sometimes you have to be! :) My creativity and mojo have been missing frequently of late, so I have been searching challenge blogs and through all of my stamps hoping for inspiration... I found a smidge and went straight to work!

This snowman is from Serendipity Stamps... isn't he cute? Using this week's Mojo Monday sketch and the Copic Creations challenge to use snowmen/snowpeople this card came to life. Thank goodness for sketches and guidance... it's hard to focus on creating when your mind is going a million miles an hour! The wreath was made using my Martha Stewart branch punch and cute little rhinestoney things are from Darice. Love them! Paper is from K&Co and all coloring was done with Copic's of course! I don't know if any of you have noticed particularly, but talking about my personal life is not something I do on a regular basis. This has been a rough year for my husband and myself, but always my goal is to focus on the positive and not let the negative win. Having strength in the Lord and having wonderful friends and family gives me the network of love and faith to keep moving forward and to not drown in the mire of everyday circumstance. My greatest Christmas wish is that you could find this strength and that you would allow people who care for you to help you when help is needed.... but also that you would help them in return. Let us form a circle of love, hope, and faith... keeping the joy of Christmas alive....

Angel Emma

All That Scraps has a weekly Wednesday Challenge... this week they had an awesome sketch to use. I love all the layers to it! Angel Emma is the main focus... her gown is embossed with swirls as are her wings, then she was colored with copics and cut out and glued to the main panel which had been stamped as well. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. :) The papers are all from DCWV excluding the scrap of music paper. The swirls were cut on my quickutz.
