I remembered this morning that I have an airbrush! Dur! So I redid the background ~ I like it much better. Hopefully you do too. :)
Here is the original.....
This card took all day to make... doesn't look like it should have does it? I saw this really cool techinque on Michelle Zindorf's blog. She used a brayer to make the different colors of the scene. Cool I thought, now I just have to find my brayer. Keep in mind that we have just moved (again) and I haven't unloaded or organized all of my scrap stuff. About an hour later I found the brayer! Woohoo!! Dang it... where are my ink pads? That was the question of the day ~ a question that still hasn't been answered. At least I knew where my little dewdrop pads were so I could at least attempt the technique. But wait... where did my sponges go? Apparently they are in cahoots with the ink pads... so I just took my dewdrop pads directly to the paper . I really love this card in person, the colors aren't so harsh and it looks sorta magical. Sorry I couldn't get a the picture to reflect that. :( Oh well! :)
The fabulous image ( Flower Fairy) is from Stitchy Bear Stamps.
The colors were inspired by the challenge picture at Paper Sundaes ~ even if you aren't up for a challenge you should check the picture out anyway. It is gorgeous!
I also made this card with the Springtime challenge over at Digital Tuesday Challenge in mind.
Hope you have a wonderful week! Smiles ~ Brandi

Hi Brandi - Just chanced upon your blog and have been looking about - your cards are gorgeous and your coloring fabulous! You are very creative! Love your card - think I prefer the airbrushed background - much softer and perfect with this image. Have a great day!
Beautiful card! Love the airbrushing and your colouring is beautiful! Cute image too! Great job.

Both versions of this card are lovely, and it's nice to see the contrast between the two methods (brayer vs airbrush). Glad you joined us with this weeks Paper Sundae challenge.
