Imagine

EDITED!

I remembered this morning that I have an airbrush! Dur! So I redid the background ~ I like it much better. Hopefully you do too. :)

Edited Version
Imagine SB2

Here is the original.....

This card took all day to make... doesn't look like it should have does it? I saw this really cool techinque on Michelle Zindorf's blog. She used a brayer to make the different colors of the scene. Cool I thought, now I just have to find my brayer. Keep in mind that we have just moved (again) and I haven't unloaded or organized all of my scrap stuff. About an hour later I found the brayer! Woohoo!! Dang it... where are my ink pads? That was the question of the day ~ a question that still hasn't been answered. At least I knew where my little dewdrop pads were so I could at least attempt the technique. But wait... where did my sponges go? Apparently they are in cahoots with the ink pads... so I just took my dewdrop pads directly to the paper . I really love this card in person, the colors aren't so harsh and it looks sorta magical. Sorry I couldn't get a the picture to reflect that. :( Oh well! :)

The fabulous image ( Flower Fairy) is from Stitchy Bear Stamps.

The colors were inspired by the challenge picture at Paper Sundaes ~ even if you aren't up for a challenge you should check the picture out anyway. It is gorgeous!

I also made this card with the Springtime challenge over at Digital Tuesday Challenge in mind.

Hope you have a wonderful week! Smiles ~ Brandi

Vintage... or my version anyway! :)

Vintage

Here is my version of a vintage (ish) card. I made it for the challenge at One Stitch At A Time. At the moment I am not too thrilled with the way the dress looks in the picture so if the sun is shining tomorrow I will blend some more and retake the photo.

Love the image Ice Princess from Stitchy Bear Stamps ~ she is beautiful... can't hardly wait to color her in blues and purples. :) A neat trick for the lace is to run it through the Xyron create a sticker machine and don't worry about excess adhesive when you pull the lace off the backing paper. Position the lace where you want it and then put glitter on top... easy and gorgeous! :)

Have a happy weekend! Smiles ~ Brandi
