P.S. The words on the stamp are "We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams" Arthur O'Shaughnessy

Pumpkins

My niece came over to visit this weekend and wanted to make something! She didn't care what it was, as long as we created something before she went home. Here is the product of our labor! :)

Josie and the Pumpkin

Double the fun!

Stuffing....

and stuffing some more!

Parts and Pieces

Since we are talking about fabric pumpkins, I thought I would share the wall hanging I made a couple of years ago...

Thanks for visiting!

Falling for you

This stamp from Paper Pretties is so sweet. I just love it. I am still trying to get the hang of my copic markers and shadowing/shading. I used paper from Sassafrass Lass, CTMH cardstock, the swiss dot Cuttlebug embossing folder, rectangular scalloped Nestabilities, and fake leaves from WalMart.

Speaking of Nestabilities, have you seen the new ones that are coming out at the end of the month? I can hardly wait! I adore the new labels and rectangle dies.

Hurray!!! The Mini Album is Done!

And I think it's kinda cute! Mostly due to Miss BryLee Jean! :) I still need to add the jounaling and maybe a few more embellishments... embellishments are like glitter ~ it's a rare occasion when you have too much! ;)

Domestication seems to be my forte today. I cleaned the entire house, baked pumpkin bars, made a casserole for dinner and now a birthday cake is baking for a co-worker. In between it all the website has sucked up most of my day. Hopefully I'll figure out how to entice more visitors to scrapfairy and they will fall in love with the products and order them.. that would be some kinda wonderful! Until then, I will keep tweaking the site until it is perfect or somewhat closer to it! Thanks for listening to my rambling.

Please let me know what you think about the mini album! Thanks!

{Procrastination}

Instead of doing my homework for the Bling out Your Blog class, I have been blog hopping. Unity Stamps has a blog hop every Thursday and they are a lot of fun. Plus they give away a lot of prizes. :)

Then I got to thinking about these super cute little pumpkin candies that some how jumped into my cart at the grocery store... and then I had to take a picture of them because they are just so darn cute!

Then I realized that I had gotten completely sidetracked again... so I should probably go ahead and work on my homework. Great plan. Lacking execution, but a great plan none the less.

Then I saw my new PINK bind-it-all. I have been wanting a bind-it-all for a long, long, long time. But they were blue. Not that I have anything against blue, it just isn't one of my favorite colors. So, I waited. And waited. And waited. AND THEN they came out with a PINK one. AND THEN I bought one. Life is grand. Unfortunately, seeing my beautiful new PINK bind-it-all reminded me that I am supposed make a cute little mini album. Crud. I still have 6 more days girls, 6 more lovely days.

Then, I realized I would photos for my cute little mini album.... Snapfish just sent me an email about getting 50 prints for 1 penny each... off to upload I go. But wait - what about my homework? I think I just finished it :) Ta Ta for now.....

For all my invisible readers out there...

Wait - do I have any readers? Judging by the comments on my posts I think not. Maybe eventually I will have readers. Cross my fingers. So..

Dear Invisible, Possibly Imaginary Reader,

This week I am going to challenge myself to make a mini album out of these giant Heidi Swapp playing cards. Elizabeth Kutchner ?spelling? made a darling album out of these in a recent Creating Keepsake magazine and inspired me to do the same. So I have the cards, paper and binder, but I haven't actually done anything. This sort of thing happens to me all the time. Inspiration strikes, supplies are gathered, then nothing. That's right nothing. Except stacks of wonderful inspiring notions, products, and tools. We will see if I can make an album and post it here before next Wednesday. Inspiration has struck (check) supplies are gathered (check) will the album be finished (cross your fingers)

If you would like to join me on this quest to actually finish a project you might have maybe been putting off, please comment and let me know what said project is and if you complete it.

Thank you so dear reader and have a lovely evening,

Brandi

I've Got a Pocketful of Sunshine

Sometimes we need to take the time to realise the gifts we have been given. I know it can be hard to be objective about the hand life has dealt you, but it is so necessary. Think back into your personal history and omit one memory or moment and then try to reconstruct your life from that point in history to this moment in time. Would your life be fundamentally altered or would if just be changed slightly? What if you had invested more of yourself into that moment? Could you have changed your world or someone else's for the better? Try to spread around the sunshine... don't keep it all in your pocket.

Autumn Musings

I am taking a class called Bling Out Your Blog with Kimberly Brimhall. Our first assignment is to tell people what we want blogging to be... I would like my blog to tell a little about me and a lot about my scrapbooking. I have been working on a kit club/scrapbook on-line store (http://www.scrapfairy.com/) that has totally consumed my life. It is so exciting in a way and completely scary in another. We will just have to see where my adventure takes me. :-)
Silly little owl... hopefully he will be my inspiration to write down all the wise words I hear. I love the autumn colors and the glitter. One simply can't live without glitter you know. Autumn is such a wonderfully colorful time of year - the trees here are so beautiful this year. It doesn't always work like that though. Normally the trees go from green to brown. This year we get oranges, yellows, and brilliant reds. What a treat!
