Flutter By Wednesday #101

My project is super simple, but something that is nice to have on hand. It is a flower seed packet cover... pretty slick... lol!





I used Sprout from PMS... she is one of my favorites of their images. She is colored with Copics and the background is sponged with chalk and Brilliance inks. I cut a shamrock out of some background paper and made a hair bow decoration. The back of the seed packet cover was punched with the closest thing I had to a Celtic design punch.

Flutter By Wednesday

Did you miss me? I can't believe I haven't posted since last Wednesday! Life has been so darn busy, but with mostly fun stuff so no complaining will be heard from me!

Today's card is very simple... it needed to be created quickly! I was buzzing around my house at the speed of light last night decorating and cleaning for a Celebrating Home party I am having today when it struck me (around 10:30 pm) that I need to make a card for Flutter By Wednesday... a minor panic attack later... this little card appeared. :) Luckily I had colored (with Prisma's) this darling little fairy from The Greeting Farm! Yippie... some scraps, a sentiment stamp from PMS, and some bling and it was done!

Off to clean in a frenzy again! How come my house didn't seem dirty until I invited people over???

Inspired by....

This was a labor of love folks... it took way more work to keep this card flat than it would have to pile on the lumpy bumpy embellishments. Don't get me wrong... I adore embellishments in all shapes and sizes. However the post office doesn't seem to have the same affinity for them that I do.... so this is why I decided it was time to try a flat card again. Got say I loved how it turned out. :)

The jumping off point for this card was the Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake challenge (see the picture above)... this is one of the bestest inspirational challenges in my personal opinion... Your inspiration can come from any portion of the picture. I used the colors and the swirls on the cupcakes to get myself off on the right foot. The image is a stamp from FSAS from the Mouserkin series. She looks so thoughtful and serene to me. :) The sentiment is from PMS and the swirl stamped in green is from Autumn Leaves. Copics were the coloring medium, a paint dauber added the shimmer to the scene and Stickles added the sparkle.

Here they are.... the cards I made for Paper Makeup Stamps...hope you like them! PMS has some of the cutest fairies out there.... and I heard a little something through the grapevine.... they are also going to be carrying stamps drawn by Dustin Pike! How cool is that ? Now I just have to be patient and wait. :o)

Paper Makeup Stamps is having a weekly Monday Challenge (but you get till Saturday to finish ~ yea!!) this time it was to use two bling type embellishments. This (of course!!) was not a difficult challenge for me! Bling, sparkle, shiney stuff... you never see those things around here! :)

My bling was brought to you by Stickles, Sizzix Texture Paper, and the shiney leaf beads. One thing that was extra cool was the stickles on the butterflies. The concept of stickles on metal had never occured to me ~ genius! Sometime it takes me a while! :O)
