Whiff of Joy Elisabeth Bell Spring Release

I don't know if you are all aware, but I absolutely adore Elisabeth Bell. Her stamps are wonderful! This one is from the new Whiff of Joy Spring Stamp Kit. I have been stalking my mailbox since the email came saying the stamps had shipped. This might be my favorite image, but I'm not sure yet! The others are stamped and waiting on my craft table to be colored. :0)
So ~ I need your opinions... is this card too plain? Originally I had planned to put a sentiment and some flowers on it, but then it felt overdone. Please let me know what you think. Thanks so much! Smiles ~ Brandi

Good Luck

I dusted off one of my bella's this weekend! She is the only St. Patrick's Day stamp I own ~ though that isn't what she was purchased for! Shamrocks are so happy and remind me of luck which is how Goodluckabella come to live at my home. I knew Good Luck cards would have to be made in my future. Lucky for me, cause she is so super cute!
There maybe another post tonight, but no promises. A little mermaid and I are going rounds. There aren't alot of mermaid sentiments floating around out there in cyberland. Or if there are, they are sneaky little critters!! Good night for now. :)

Valentine's Day

I just wanted to show you a peek at what my Valentine's Day looked like!

Friday, February 13, 2009

Here is the latest sketch for the Faerie Song Art Stamp Group at Paper Craft Planet. Feel free to make a card based on this sketch and upload it the Faerie Song Art Group at PCP. We have a monthly drawing for a free Faerie stamp donated by Susana at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. To get an entry you must submit a card!
If you enter a card every week you could get four entries into the drawing!!!

Here is the card I made based on the sketch. The stamp is Lost In Thought from the Faerie Song stamp line. She is available from Susana's store as well. The faerie's dress is paper pieced and she was colored with Copic markers. Then came the Shimmerz... lots and lots of Shimmerz. I just love that stuff! Talk about sparkle power.
The paper is from Kaizer Craft and the cool clear tape is from Prima.... Thanks for stopping by and have a great Valentine Weekend!

Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog Card

This card was so fun to make and color. I feel like this is one of the best jobs of shading I have done. Learning to use Copic markers is time consuming, but the results are well worth it!
This card is based on a recipe challenge for the Whiff Of Joy Challenge Blog. Katharina from Whiff of Joy is donating two stamp sets from her new release to a lucky participant!

Be Mine Valentine ... C.C. Designs

Cupid Gingersnaps are digital stamps from C.C. Designs. They are so fun to work with. This little angel is all dressed up in a sparkly red top and shoes ~ ready to spread some love! I had forgotten that my Storybook cartridge had all these cute little die cuts for layering. I'm not too sure the stitching was a great plan - practicing on straight lines probably would have been a good idea!

Whiff of Joy.... awwww

Whiff of Joy is having a new stamp release on February 14th featuring Medieval Charlotte and Charlie designed by Alison Acton. I can hardly wait! They are one of my favorite stamping companies! Click the link above for more details!

Unicorn Birthday Wishes

This little birthday card was made for the sketch challenge over at Club Anya. It doesn't exactly follow the sketch for some unknown reason - I really thought I was following it fairly closely and then when I was finished and everything was glued down (of course) I realised the two circle halves were not supposed to be facing each other! DUH! Oh well. It's still a cute card - the unicorn totally reminds me of my little ponies.

Hey Cupid!

C.C. Designs Digi Emailed Images Gingersnap Hey Cupid! - I love these! The images are so cute and it is so wonderful to be able to resize the images to whatever you need. The card is based on the weekly card sketch from Split Coast Stampers.

Paper: Fancy Pants ~ Embellishments: Shimmerz ~ Ribbon: Unknown

How much is that doggie in the window?

I made this card for the technique challenge on Splitcoast. It wasn't too hard to make the recessed window (thanks to GardenDiva), but then I couldn't figure out what to do on the rest of the card! Obviously no forethought went into the design. Dorothy Anya got a haircut and a plaid dress. Okay now what? I was blank - seriously all that was happening in my brain was static. So the card and it's pieces got left on the scrap table until this afternoon.... when a brain wave happened!! And I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my card. Hurray!
