It's VC Stamps Challenge Day!

Cute, cute, cute! That's what this image is! Snow Friends is a new image just released by Victoria Case yesterday. I love the expressions on their faces... I airbrushed around the image and "colored" the snowman with glitter. The blue highlights are Baby Blue Liquid Pearls (I told you I loved them!), the rest is colored with copics.

This card is actually a gatefold card. The little fairy (Wish Upon a Star) and the word magical are only adhered on one side so the card can open in the center. I used loads of stickles on this... I ran cardstock through my Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder and then put gold stickles on top of the dots. The large star is also covered in gold stickles. The image was colored with copics, the poinsetta and leaves were outlined with a glossy glaze and dipped in glitter. I went back in and filled the rest of them with the glaze. I love this little fairy, she looks so amazed and in awe. It reminds me of the feeling you got (maybe) when you were a kid and realized the true meaning of Christmas. Wonderful image Victoria.

Hydrangea ~ I love Lockhart Stamps!

Here is my (very late) post for today... sometimes time just slips through my fingers. It usually happens when I have a lot of creating to do. My mojo goes on walkabout and I have to go do something else for a while until it comes back! LOL.

Any, moving on to the card! Lockhart stamps are so wonderful. The details are always amazing. This stamp is called Hydrangea and Berries. I colored the image with my copics and then went back in a clear glaze on the leaves to make them look shiny and waxy. The berries were highlighted with Liquid Pearls in Lavender Lace. I love Liquid Pearls... I really truly do! They can make a project look so classy. The image was cut out with a Peony nestablities die. I used Basic Grey Wisteria Paper, added some lace and dewdrops... tada... finished! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Try It Out Tuesday ~ Spunkette's New Home

Being a Spotlight Stamper is fun! Here is my second project featuring Spunkette from SCACD by Elisabeth Bell. Isn’t she just a doll?I decided that she needed a home. A sparkly, pretty, girly type of a house fit for a fairy. This is what I came up with.

Front View
This former bird-house had to be redecorated fairy style, so out came the Lemonade Basic Grey Papers, Prima Roses and some bling from the stash. A Martha Stewart punch was used to make the gingerbread trim as a final touch. Spunkette herself is dressed in a paper-pieced Lemonade skirt. Her flower center is a Lemonade brad. The entire house was spritzed with Baby’s Breath Shimmerz.

Side View

I hoped you liked the house... I think it would make a terrific gift for a little girl who believes in fairies. Have a happy day!

Spotlight Stamper for SCACD!

I am so excited! Susana and Suzanne have asked me to be the spotlight stamper for SCACD in July ! Susana helped me find my confidence when I was first starting and I will never forget it. It means the world to me to be featured for her store! Thank you!

My card today featured Danni, one of the new stamps designed by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. Isn't she the most wonderful fairy? She is also named for Danni Bindel one of the founding members of Susana's design team... so in honor of Danni, her hair had to be blonde. :) Danni also sponsers a weekly challenge called Flutterby Wednesday featuring fairies and butterflies, so the stamp is very well named! :)
The papers used are Lily Kate from Basic Grey, with Wisteria B.G. buttons. I colored all of the winged things with stickles, then stamped on transparency with Stazon (let dry) then I placed them on top of the (wet) stickles and let it dry. This glues on the transparency and creates a neat effect.
Hope you are having a wonderful Monday!

Happy Birthday Stevie!

My husband's birthday was yesterday, so I wanted to show you the simple "manly" card I made for him. It features Leo the Lion from High Hopes. He is colored with copics and the masked off to created the airbrushed background. Have a happy Friday!

Leaf Ride

Doesn't she look like she is having the funest time! Riding a leaf would be better than any roller coaster ride I can think of! My card today is based on the VC Stamps Challenge blog sketch! Please play along with us... you could win a free stamp and a chance to be a guest designer! You can find the image "Ride a Leaf" at Victoria Case Art Designs... this stamp is a new digi from this weeks release!
My card was fairy simple this time... the shape was cut with a spellbinders die, as was the image. I airbrushed around the edges of the image and under the leaf. The leaf is covered with liquid glass, the swirls are Tim Holtz grungeboard which is painted and glittered, flowers and centers are from Prima.

The card and the box feature Lily Kate B.G. papers with Stampin' UP cardstock. The card has Olive Branch and Sapphire Shimmerz spritz on all of the layers, and the flowers and buttons are from the stash. The sentiment was created in Photoshop and then cut out with my circle nestibilites. You can find the tutorial for the acetate box here.

New Digi's!

Victoria Case is releasing some of the cutest digi's yet! Little Rose is featured on my card below. Don't you just want to pick her up and give her a hug?

What do you think of my wild and crazy card? Sometime's I need to let the creative cat out of the bag and deal with whatever it digs up! Paper is Lime Ricky and I used my new Spellbinders Pendant dies (love!) for the black layer and for the mask on the white paper. The is also alot of liquid glass on this card, on the black (with glitter on top), and on the shiny parts of the rose and the red layer. I airbrushed with my copics to get the masked effect and colored Little Rose with Prismas. Wishing you a wild and crazily creative day!

Butterfly Siren

The Sketching Stamper has some wonderful new digi images..the one is featured above is called Butterfly Caller. The quality of these illustrations is amazing! I have based this card on the sketch from Priscillastyles and proceeded way out of my comfort zone with the design. It turned out okay though. The butterfly is made from a large Prima flowers torn apart and layered. I used the diamond fold technique on the side for futher embellishment. All papers are the from Basic Grey's June Bug. Hope you are all having a terrific day!

Junebug

This card was a blast to make. I had glitter and shimmerz spritz everywhere! Junebug is the name of the image... she is from CC Stamps at All That Scraps. Their stamp designs are so wonderful and cute! My card is based on the awesome sketch on the left from I Heart To Stamp. There are so many awesome challenges and sketchs out there that I never get around to making into cards. It's kinda depressing if you really think about it! The fabulous paper is Lemonade by Basic Grey. I love it! Such beautiful shades of pink... just a heads up ~ Susana at SCACD has loads of different 6x6 Basic Grey in her shop and The New SPELLBINDERS! The new pendant dies are amazing! I'm so excited about them! Can you tell by the shear number of exclamation points I am using? And she has the new Shimmerz Sprintz that is all over the card above. The Spritz is so much fun ~ seriously. I only have three of the colors, but I have had so much fun with them. Someday the collection will grow. :) Hope you have a Happy Friday!

VC Sketch Challenge

Here is a little sneak peek for my buddies... this is one of the new digi's being released by Victoria Case on July 10th. Wow ~ that's tomorrow.. that was quick! Anyway.. and now back to our prior programming. LOL
I loved how simple this sketch was. It is perfect for letting an image take center stage on a card. I used dotted cardstock (I have no idea what brand), two flowers, a charm and a piece of ribbon from the stash, mounted everything on to the base cardstock and there you have it! The image was colored with Copics and the background watercolored in with distress inks. The goal was a vintage feel. :)
Victoria also has a new freebie for you called Bunnyfly. Hop or fly on over and snag one for yourself! Have a Terrific Thursday!

Skating Along with Sketch Saturday

I think this little Skater is just the cutest! She is a digi from the amazing Victoria Case. If you follow the link you can find the cutest little couple getting married and a darling little girl decorating her Christmas tree ~ too cute! My card is based on the sketch from Sketch Saturday. I had way to much fun with sparkle on this card. It is very glittery in person. I used glitter, rhinestones, Stampendous sparkles snowflake stickers, and that funny fake snow stuff you throw on fake Christmas trees... I own one of those so I know what I'm talkin about (lol)~ the bracket is also outlined with a Sakura glitter pen and then everything was spritzed with the amazing Shimmer Spritz. Amazing stuff! Papers are from Basic Grey and Stampin Up. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend ~ I certainly did!

The papers are all from Stampin Up, flower, leaves and lace from Prima, main image is one of the Gorjuss Girls (Bear Hug) from Sugar Nellie, sentiment from Studio G. The swirls were cut out on my Revolution.
Hopefully I have daily posts scheduled for you while we are gone... where are we going? Camping! It will only be for a few days, but I am really looking forward to it. Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
